Tigers go down to Richland
Fayetteville High School Tiger football continued to struggle Friday night going down on the road to Richland, 44-0.
With lightning in the area at the intermission the second half never got underway.
Since the Tiger program began it's their first defeat coming from the Raiders.
Injuries have taken FHS down to the bone as far as personnel. With three more tough road trip remaining prior to their final game of the season at home against Franklin Grace Christian the Tigers are in survival mode.
"I know I've said it before but we have to go with the players we've got." Coach Alvin Palmer said. "Hopefully we can get a couple guys back over the next couple of weeks but we've got tough opponents remaining. So many players are in new positions and we've got a lot of inexperience on the field. We're making some changes - moving folks around trying to find some improvement."
"We go to Cornersville Friday night and it's going to be tough." he added. "They are the real deal - they we play up traveling to 6-A Warren Co. It's not going to get any easier."

Friday night belonged to the Raiders who were up 28-0 at the end of the first quarter and Richland tacked on 16 points in the second period.
At the intermission with lightning delay pending the coaches and officials met calling the contest.
This week the Tigers travel to meet undefeated Cornersville who is 6-0 overall and 3-0 in region play. The Bulldogs are coming off a 63-0 win over Perry Co.
