Lady Falcon Softball split in district action last week. Monday the ladies came from behind in the top of the seventh with a grand slam by Anna Marie Thornton to win on the road over Shelbyville, 6-3. Wednesday the ladies went down in a defensive battle, 3-2 to Coffee Co.; none of the Lady Raiders runs were earned.

The 24th Annual Border Battle was scheduled to bring 23 teams to town for a tournament on Friday and Saturday of last week but Mother Nature had other plans and the games were cancelled due to rain. It's the second time in the tournaments 24 year history for a washout.

Current the Lady Falcons are 15-11 overall and 5-4 in district play.
